For ease of putting on the vest and for clinical staff to open to sight and perform wound care management of the exit site without having to remove the vest during dialysis. Shoulder Flaps – the shoulder flaps open so that the central line may pass through before locating the end of the line into the retaining pouch. The flaps are closed off with velcro tabs. Retaining Pouch – the retaining pouch located on the front of the vest contains internal loops into which the end of the lines is inserted and retained whilst not in use; the pouch is then closed off to conceal the end of the lines.
